Sen. Sherrod Brown

Sherrod Brown for U.S. Senate

How you vote is a personal decision. Your union has done the research and believes Sen. Sherrod Brown is the best choice for working people.

Sen. Brown has been a fierce advocate of unions and expanding the middle class.

Here are a few of his accomplishments:

  • When Wall Street gambled away workers’ retirement savings, Brown led the yearslong fight to pass the Butch Lewis Act—which successfully saved the pensions of more than 53,000 union members.
  • Brown led the CHIPS and Science Act to ensure the future of technology is built in Ohio, by Ohio workers. Brown’s CHIPS and Science Act includes project labor agreement language for the first time in history.
  • Brown worked to pass the bipartisan infrastructure law with prevailing wage requirements, creating good-paying union jobs for workers across Ohio rebuilding our infrastructure.
  • Brown introduced the Protecting the Right to Organize Act to protect workers’ rights to bargain for fairer wages, better benefits and safer working conditions.
  • Brown introduced the Restoring Overtime Pay Act to enshrine overtime pay protections into law and expand who qualifies for overtime pay, so millions more Americans are paid for the hours we work.
  • Brown championed the child tax credit expansion to provide working families with financial relief to accommodate the rising prices of health care, child care and housing.
  • Brown has always stood up against bad trade deals like the North American Free Trade Agreement that shipped Ohio jobs overseas and is fighting to make sure workers have a seat at the table for all trade agreements.
  • Brown has partnered with organizations and labor unions to host Summer Manufacturing Camps across Ohio to teach the next generation about a future in the manufacturing industry.
  • Brown has consistently supported Ohio’s labor unions by joining workers on the picket lines, supporting organizing drives and urging companies to stop anti-union actions.
